About a year ago I was watching an episode of Oprah where she featured the inspirational Randy Pausch. A computer science professor at Carnegie Mellon University who passed away on July 25, 2008 after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in August 2006.

On September 18, 2007 he spoke as if he was giving his final lecture before dying. He knew what he was doing and once stated, “Under the ruse of giving an academic lecture, I was trying to put myself in a bottle that would one day wash up on the beach for my children.”

His words are inspiring and worth the time to listen. With one of my favorite parts being the following:

“It’s not about how to achieve your dreams, it’s all about leading your life. If you lead your life in a right way, karma will take care of itself. And dreams will come to you.”
