Last Tuesday’s election brought back a Republican-majorityHouse of Representatives. An event socatastrophic in nature that it nearly caused the mass suicide of manyDemocrats, or at least that’s what I gathered from the barely intelligiblewords I could hear between their sobs.
It’s a week later and they are still inconsolable. In hopes of offering words of comfort I wouldlike to remind them that the Dream Act didn’t pass nor was Don’t Ask Don’t Tellrepealed while the Democrats were the House majority, so don’t fret…theRepublicans were always in control. Yousurvived then, you’ll survive now.
Another interesting result of this election is the rise ofLatino political superstars like Marco Rubio, Susana Martinez, and BrianSandoval. Over the last week I have seenquite a few people hitch their star to this new Latino galaxy. I’m guessing it is because FINALLY as Latinowe will be represented and have our collective voices heard.
Wait, what? We’re notall of one mind and one thought? ANDTHEY’RE REPUBLICANS???? Do the democrats know? Sssh, don’t tell them, they’re in a vulnerable state and they may justlose it.
Not that any of this matters, as the Aztecs or was itNostradamus predicted, the world as we know it will come to an end when SarahPalin is elected president in 2012!
