I have a confession…
I haven’t read an entire book in a long time. A long, long time. So long in fact, that I’ll keep the exact amount of time to myself, for now.
As a child, I was a voracious reader. If it wasn’t a school day, I’d grab a book as soon as I awoke and be finished and started with another by bedtime. I’m not quite sure when I lost that thirst for the written word, but I did and no book, whether real or Nook, has helped me to change that.
I’ve been thinking a lot about this lately, and “No bueno!” I say. It’s time to change that. I’ve said that before, but this time I have a plan. I’m declaring the summer of 2014 a reading summer and putting myself through a Summer Book Camp.
This summer, I’m putting myself on a Hulu and Netflix diet bycancelling and or putting my accounts on hold from June 1st through until after Labor Day. In the next few weeks I will choose 10 books I want to read, some of which I’ve already begun reading, and I will prepare to get to it.
If you want to join me or have books to recommend, comment below!
Love it!! I don’t even have a t.v. anymore… I never had the time and I am a big book nerd, so I got rid of it.
Happy readings!
Siempre, Laura
